1.1. Bales Not Showing up in Pick Options, Group UK Inventory Display Issue – Ha-Meem Spinning Mills Ltd

The warehouse system reflects 1,310 bales available in Group UK, but when generating or editing a pick mix, the inventory shows 0 available bales, generating the following error:

"Not enough categories to make a mix - Please check your pick windows"

Standard file maintenance did not resolve the discrepancy. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve this issue:

Troubleshooting & Resolution Steps

Step 1: Check and Delete Active Picks

  1. Navigate to the Pick Menu and inspect all currently active/open picks.

  2. If there are pending or open picks associated with Group UK, delete them.

  3. Refresh the pick list to see if the bales become available.

Step 2: Verify Warehouse & Adjustment Counts

If deleting open picks does not make the bales visible:

  1. Review the WhseCnt (Warehouse Count) and AdjCnt (Adjusted Count) fields in the pick window.

  2. Verify if any group or category definitions were modified after the bales were initially tagged/categorized.

Note: If a group's criteria were updated post-tagging, the system may fail to recognize the bales under the new definition.

Step 3: Correct Group/Category Parameters (Do NOT Reclassify)

⚠️ Important: Do not run a reclassification process. Follow the workaround below instead:

  1. Check if additional break points or properties were added to the category definition (e.g., modified from 2 properties at original tagging to 3 properties currently).

  2. Temporary Reversion: Remove the recently added property changes from the group parameters.

  3. Save the group setup.

  4. Re-save again: This forces the system to re-index the inventory and accurately re-display the available bales for selection.

Once these steps are completed, the bales will populate correctly and can be successfully added to the pick mix.

Resolution Process:

  1. Clear Open Picks: Go to pick options, review active picks, and delete any open/unfinalized picks involving Group UK.

  2. Inspect Counts & Group Modifications: If WhseCnt remains 0, inspect the group/category structure. Check if properties or break points were altered after the bales were originally tagged.

  3. Reset Group Parameters (Avoid Reclassification):

    • Do not reclassify the bales.

    • Remove any added properties/break points from the group definition back to its original state.

    • Re-save the group configuration to trigger a system refresh.

  4. Finalize: Bales should now display properly in the pick windows and be ready for assignment.
